Clinical Psychologist in Warrandyte Mullum Road Clinic Seeing Jess in Warrandyte
At Mullum Road Clinic in Warrandyte, clinical psychologist Jess Chadakorn sees adults and young people indoors or in the clinic's backyard, which opens onto the Yarra River.
Mullum Road Clinic in Warrandyte village
Jess consults at 71 Yarra Street on Mondays and Tuesdays, within the clinic's hours of 9am to 6pm. Reception can confirm appointment times.
Some people find difficult things easier to put into words outdoors, with less pressure to hold eye contact. The backyard is less private than a room, so you and Jess can agree beforehand what to do if someone comes within earshot.

How Jess works
Jess's clinical psychology training and hospital work in Canberra took in mental health units, general medical wards, pain management and rehabilitation, so she is familiar with how physical and emotional health affect each other.
She sees adults, teenagers and children from about six, and has a particular interest in working with neurodivergent people, including those with ADHD. She often combines evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) CBT examines how thoughts, feelings, body sensations and actions influence one another, and uses practical techniques to recognise unhelpful patterns and test new responses.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) ACT, said like the word act, draws on mindfulness and values to make room for difficult thoughts and feelings, so more energy can go towards what matters to you.
- Schema Therapy Schema Therapy works with long-standing patterns in how people feel and relate to others, tracing them to early experiences and the core emotional needs that went unmet.
- DBT skills DBT skills come from dialectical behaviour therapy, which pairs acceptance with change. They offer practical ways to understand strong emotions, tolerate distress and handle difficult conversations.
- Psychodynamic therapy A conversational therapy that looks at how earlier experiences and relationships shape the way you feel and relate to people now, and at patterns that keep repeating.
